Mission Statement


We are a collective of wellness practitioners that strives to create community and
decrease isolation by empowering postpartum individuals through a holistic approach or
support, services, and education. We aim to improve the physical, mental, and
emotional wellbeing of postpartum individuals, and promote a positive and fulfilling
transition to parenthood.


Our initial focus is support for families during their postpartum phase.

Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga Instructor

Shauna Sprules has been sharing movement and mindfulness practices in the South Okanagan for over 20 years. She specializes in teaching Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga and is co-founder of The Be Hive studio in Penticton. As a birth and postpartum doula, and the mother of four young ones, she aims to contribute to a community that offers continuous, compassionate support for birthing folks and new families.

own intuition, create embodied resources, and bring awareness to what their body is trying to communicate.

Leslie is a physiotherapist living
and working in Penticton BC and have been working with patients with pelvic health concerns for over a decade. She is often humbled by the challenges of motherhood and reminded that we are capable of overcoming so much.

Perinatal Therapist, MSW, RSW

Michelle Wikerd is a perinatal therapist and registered Social Worker. She has over 12 years experience counselling individuals and couples and is passionate about supporting parents around their mental well-being. She is the community manager and therapist for the South Okanagan chapter of Life With A Baby, a charity serving families with children 0-6 years of age.

Julie Gerhardt

Physical Therapist

Julie Gerhardt is a manual Physical Therapist with extensive training in osteopathic techniques, cranial sacral therapy, fascial and visceral mobilization. She weaves in various forms of energy work, presence practices and bio psychosocial approaches. A major part of her practice is orientated to women’s health, infants and children. Though not practicing as a doula presently, she draws from that experience to support women in preparing for birth and recovery
afterwards.

Ashley Palmer is a childbirth educator, birth + postpartum doula, and mother of 2. Her philosophy for her space in the birth world is to help educate & guide new parents to have a positive birth experience as a family. Within her time as a doula she has learnt the value of
support during the fourth trimester and is passionate about helping her community have the resources for families to feel supported.
